[ l i n k s ] || Rules || Encyclopedia || Character Application [ u p d a t e ] 06 . 28 . 08 In case you haven't noticed yet, Kairuu is being completely redone on a brand-new Proboards server, and its URL will not be released until Kairuu Kolme is completed, and even then, only through Private Message to those who are interested in joining from this site. Alli and I are working as quickly and efficiently as we can to make the place better than before, and hoping that this time, no problems present themselves. One thing I want to tell you about right now is that Kairuu Kolme is stricter than this place, with new limits and additions to rules, etc. Don't bother making an account on this site unless you plan on joining the new site, and even then, don't bother at all unless you plan on being active and complying to a set of brand-new rules. If you don't find Professor Hemlock's choices appealing, you can leave your partner up to chance, and visit the EggShell Cottage. 34 613 Route One - Mallowfox Road The famous first route of your journey; it was named for the thousands of mallow plants that grow in the grasses surrounding the road, although several trees claim their own space here as well. A small pack of Vulpix, led by a Ninetales, live here as well, but they are extremely elusive. 8 149 Route Two - Greengold Lake This beautiful lake is situated in the midst of a circle of trees and bushes; it is inhabited by a plethora of Water-types, but several other forest-dwelling Pok�mon come here to drink and spend time with each other. Fishing is prohibited here, so leave your rods in your bag, please! 1 6 Wellash Marsh This moderately sized city stands in the middle of a swamp, thus gaining its name. It is constructed mainly of rot-persistent timber and its inhabitants are fairly friendly, and prefer to use Poison- and Grass-types. This area seems to be a haven for Pok�mon of the Fire-, Rock-, and Ground-type. The grass is short and wiry, the trees are gnarled and dead, and the entire atmosphere screams of abandoned hopes. Don't abandon yours, though! 0 0 Shadowedge Moor Looks like a ghost town. Shadowedge Moor has indeed been empty for decades; only stray Pok�mon and the spirits of the dead inhabit this place anymore. What's this. . .? Looks like a giant graveyard down yonder. I'd be careful around that place. Folks say the ghosts of dead Pok�mon wander around that area, and they don't take very kindly to inconsiderate Humans. 0 0 Plainfair Town This modest city is well-populated. It stands in a deep valley and is flanked by mountains on two sides; skiing and sledding are two of the favorite pastimes of this town in winter. Plainfair also holds the next Gym, a user of the Normal-type. The fact that a lot of Dark-types prefer this area makes it all the more interesting. Don't stub your toe on the rocks littering this route! 0 0 Route Five - Mossmill Crossing Wow, the ground around here feels spongy; why is that? Springy moss covers the entire area, making for a nice place to take a nap under a shady tree. . . 0 0 Mistmoor Village At fist glance, you would not expect this town to even have a Gym. WRONG. The sleepy little village has a shop selling a few. . . interesting. . . Pok�mon. Take a look, if you don't intend to squeal. 1 1 on Dec 28, 2007, 5:47pm by Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� in Mistmoor Gym Route Six - Downs Trails Phew, looks like the fog is finally lifting. The air is drier and a tad more chilly up this way, as the wind from the ocean carries quite a long distance. A trail carved by numerous Pok�mon makes it easier to travel. 0 0 Route Seven - Brook Forest Literally as the name says. This small forest is cut in two by a wide brook inhabited by many Water-types, and best of all, fishing is allowed here, so whip out your rod and get angling! 0 0 Cape Elmhill Such named for the multitude of elm trees lining this port village. It contains the last Gym on the mainland, a user of Water- and Ice-types. From here, take Route Eight via boat to reach the outlying island. 1 1 on Dec 30, 2007, 3:43pm by Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� in Cape Elmhill Gym Route Eight - Point Silverbrook Hooray, you're on your way to the outlying island. This ocean route is chock full of Water-types, plus a few extra, hm, rarer creatures, if you know what I mean. Stay on your toes, but be careful not to get seasick. If you don't like boats, you can always cross on a Pok�mon that knows Surf; providing the Pok�mon is large enough to carry you. 0 0 The Outlying Island Route Nine - Stone Meadows This rocky outcropping has a layer of grass growing over it, and a few stunted trees here and there. Not a pleasant place to be, by all means, as the sky is almost always gray and unfriendly. 0 0 Stone Circle Well, this is an odd-looking town. The houses are built in a circular pattern, leaving an open arena in the middle. And, yes, the arena is for the Gym battles; the citizens of this town love watching challengers battling their leader. 1 1 on Dec 30, 2007, 4:09pm by Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� in Stone Circle Gym Route Ten - Wycliffe Heights The trail begins to climb up into the mountains here, and the air gets colder. Bring a jacket! This place is a haven for Ice-types. Rumor tells the snowstorms are caused by a higher being. . . if you catch my drift. 0 0 Route Eleven - Thorn Crossing The few trees left around here are brambles and other spiky plants, often a deathtrap to small Pok�mon. Brace yourself, you will see at least a few dead Pok�mon impaled in those bushes. 0 0 Whitegrove City This snowy town is a beautiful place. Due to the everlasting cold, the citizens spend their time constructing ice- and snow sculptures of Pok�mon around town. This Gym's specialty is an odd combination of Fire and Ice. 1 1 on Jan 1, 2008, 6:21pm by Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� in Whitegrove Gym Route Twelve - Lower Thornmoor More brambles? Oh, no! On the upside, a small shrine dedicated to Articuno stands a short ways away. Pay a visit, pray a little, maybe something special will happen, if you're deemed good at heart! 0 0 Route Thirteen - Alpine Downs The snow begins to lessen as you descend the steep mountainside, but the Ice-types do not. Some of them like playing pranks on passing humans by concealing sheets of ice underneath the snow. Be careful. 0 0 Ivywick Town This flowery town houses the second-to-last gym, a user of Bug- and Electric-types, just another odd combination among many. 1 1 on Jan 1, 2008, 6:53pm by Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� in Ivywick Gym Route Fourteen - Mount Ashview On your way to the last Gym, you must pass Mount Ashview, where both Groudon and Heatran are said to sleep; Moltres often circles around this mountain on her way. 0 0 Route Fifteen - Lesser Glencreek The final stretch before the final Gym, this route seems to be your average route one-style grassy field, at least until the herds of Tauros decide they don't like you. 0 0 North Mistwick The final town, the final Gym, the final challenge before the League. This town is obsessed with Dragon-types, and so is the Gym leader, who utilizes Dragon- and Flying-types. 1 1 on Jan 1, 2008, 8:21pm by Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� in North Mistwick Gym The Islet of Volo Oldvale Tunnel The final stretch before the Pok�mon League, Oldvale tunnel is lit only by torchers smoldering in their brackets. You'd better be ready for this trek, because this cavern is full of high-level Pokemon, and they won't hesitate to attack you if you disturb them. 0 0 Elite 1 - Florence You've made it to the first Elite member, Florence. Before you take him on, you might want to stock up on some healing items at the Poke Mart, and give yourself and your Pok�mon a good rest at the Pok�mon Center; the next five battles will be the toughest you'll ever face. 0 0 Brightway Crossing Congratulations, you've defeated Florence! Problem is, before you can move onto the next Elite, you have to travel across this slightly icy bridge to get to Valerie; and, of course, what would a bridge be without Pok�mon of the Air Element to bother you! Be careful, it can get rather windy up here! 0 0 Elite 2 - Valerie You've made it to Valerie! Rest up at the Pok�mon Center and buy some items if you need to before challenging this ice queen! (And no, we're not referring to her personality, so no pun intended.) 0 0 Lochwater Bridge It's not really a bridge, per say, but there certainly is water; with many strong Water Element Pok�mon within it! Cross quickly, and don't look back. A Gyarados might think you're his lunch. 0 0 Elite 3 - Yasuhiro Give yourself a good pat on the back; you've made it to the third of the five Elite members! 'Hiro has a fairly. . . enlightening personality. 0 0 Flowergate Forest True to its name, the fence surrounding this wood is covered in climbing vines of flowers; the forest itself is chock full of Pok�mon of the Grass Element, and strong ones at that. Make your way through to reach the last of the Elites. 0 0 Elite 4 - Sparrow He is the last of the four Elite Trainers, and certainly not the easiest to defeat; if you do manage to beat him, you'll be allowed a shot at the current champion! 0 0 Griffinmoor Cavern Make your way through this pleasantly lit cavern, and you'll get a chance to try and defeat the current Elite Champion! (By the way, the current champion is. . . NO ONE! The first person to beat ALL 4 Elites will become the new champion! 0 0 Elite Champion - The last Elite Champion has retired, and no trainer has yet made it past all four of our Elite 4 Trainers. Will YOU become the new Champion? Only time will tell. 0 0 Other Areas Kairuu SpaceTime Festival Grounds Event Area! The annual Kairuu SpaceTime Festival is held here, to honor the three deities; Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia. It is on this day each year that thousands of people gather to witness The Three honoring humans with their presence. Something seems amiss this year, however, and the authorities are concerned for the festival and The Three. Will you join in? Moderator: Wε Bε H�nt�n' ��j�� 5 43 Casino Doreli Owned by the established Doreli family--Aaron Doreli, his wife Kiera, and their daughter Bella--this casino is, by far, the most renowned in all of Kairuu; the others are so lowly, they aren't even worth mentioning. The games are honest and no cheats were ever put on the machines; they may be difficult to win, but if you're lucky, you'll hit it big. Coins can be purchased for quid, and can also be exchanged for a plethora of prizes. Idea by Alli. 0 0 Duinsmoor Battle Tower Currently Closed A tall, towering building that goes up many, many stories, this is truly the place for champions to gather. Within one can find the Lobby, a place to sign up and receive your Battle Card--which records your victories and losses, as well as total number of challenges, and other such details--and to send and receive challenge invites to other Battle Tower members. There are many different types of challenges available, all of which are explained in detail within. Credit to Alli. 8D 0 0 Pineallee Ski Lodge Located in the scenic mountains of Kairuu, the Pineallee Ski Lodge offers it all; skiing, snowboarding, sledding... any snow sport you can think of, including hiking trails! The cozy lodge itself contains a pool area, hot tubs, saunas, restaurants, and all the other incredible features you might find in a top-notch hotel. The stretch of sand is dotted with parasols and lounger chairs, perfect for basking in the beach's heat and soaking up some sun. It is sculpted and landscaped to accommodate all species' needs and has everything from a miniature mountain range to a set of rushing waterfalls and rivers. Trainers are encouraged to drop a few of their Pok�mon off at the Park, as it is seen as a good thing for different Pok�mon to mix and mingle, developing friendships away from their trainers. The service is free, though of course it is forbidden for a trainer to attack or attempt to catch any of the Pok�mon. POKEMON ONLY. 0 0 Rainbow Falls A crystal-clear lake surrounded by thick, almost impenetrable jungle, whose water is provided by a waterfall so high that it's origins cannot be glimpsed from level ground. The fall, however, is perfectly gentle and safe to stand beneath. It was doing so that a lone wanderer and her Pok�mon discovered the waterfall's magical properties - it can alter the pigmentation of a Pokemon's hair or flesh upon the master's request, after scattering some currency into the lake of course. Legend has it that Kyogre is sleeping deep beneath the rocks of the Sanctuary. If you're searching for Pokemon, make sure you're in a Catch Zone! HM 09 Dive is required to reach this location, so make sure you have a Water-type capable of using this move! The surrounding landscape is lush and green, the fertile volcanic soil proving plenty of greenery. Guests are encouraged to explore the area and embrace the clean air as well as using the facilities. The most famous aspect of the Spa is the soothing hot springs. People and Pok�mon are both welcomed! Idea by Cassie. 0 0 The Ruins Crumbling brickwork is all that remains of an ancient town. If the site had a name, it is long gone. Nobody knows what happened to the inhabitants, or why the site was abandoned, but now the Ruins are just a tourist attraction. Some come to look for forgotten treasure, others come hunting for Pok�mon. However, most just end up climbing the Old Church and speculating about past events... The rows of trees lead on for miles, and there are numerous little clearings dotted around to take a rest in. Wind chimes have been hung on the branches, sending melodies out when the breeze flows. Valley Of Peace - A Pok�mon Preserve An enormous expanse of land has been converted into a Pok�mon preserve for species on the Red List; trainers are allowed into this area to interact with the Pokemon, but attacking or capturing them is prohibited. Occasionally, though, when numbers of a certain species rise, a few of them become available for capture. No worries, though; non-red-listed Pok�mon also appear here, and they'll be more than happy to battle you and your companions. (: 0 0 Windvald Museum of Natural History This ancient building looks to be on the verge of collapse, though upon stepping inside, you notice the expansive collections of artwork of times long gone. Stepping to your right, you can find a separate hall full of excitable scientists; they've finally found a way to resurrect fossils! Should you find yourself in possession of a Fossil, bring it here to revive it, completely free of charge! 1 1 Trainer-Owned Adoption Agencies For those of you that feel you no longer want, nor are able to keep a Pokemon, this place is for you; or, if you simply are a breeder, and wish to set up an agency for adoptions, do so here. One agency per member, please, to avoid cluttered space. 1 3 Trainer Homes Every trainer needs a place to live, right? And keeping your extra Pok�mon confined in a computer can get rather redundant.
